The Principal's Post

 Dear A.B. Williams Families,

 It is with great excitement and gratitude that I welcome you to the 2026-2027 school year as your   principal. After serving as your assistant principal for the last two years, I am truly honored to continue   this journey alongside our amazing students, families, and staff in this new role.

 Having had the privilege of getting to know our students, families, staff, and community, I have   witnessed firsthand the dedication, resilience, and spirit that make Andrea B. Williams Elementary   School such a special place. I am deeply appreciative of the strong foundation of excellence Dr. Foy   established throughout his leadership. I look forward to building upon that legacy as we continue   striving for success together for all of our students.

 This year, we will place a strong emphasis on academic growth and achievement, with a strong focus   on literacy. Literacy is our North Star! Reading is the foundation for success in every subject, and we   are committed to ensuring that every child grows as a confident, capable reader and learner. At the   same time, we will prioritize numeracy, problem-solving, and STEM integration to strengthen students’ critical-thinking skills. Our goal is to meet each student where they are, celebrate their progress, and provide the support and challenge needed to help them perform on or above grade level in reading, math, and across all content areas.

Additionally, we will create an environment where every child feels safe, seen, and inspired to do their best. We are committed to fostering a positive school culture where students are encouraged to build relationships and develop both academically and socially. We believe that when students feel supported and connected, they are empowered to achieve great things.

Partnership with our families is essential to this work. Together, we can create intentional learning experiences that prepare our students for success. We need your help to ensure students are in school on time every day so they will not fall behind in what’s presented in class. I encourage you to stay engaged, communicate, and participate in the many opportunities throughout the year to support your child's educational journey.

I am truly excited about what lies ahead and confident that, working together, we will continue to build a school where every student thrives.
